The count

Count the ten planets, and the Ascendant and Midheaven if your birth time is reliable. Write which bodies made up each tally — a chart with three planets in one element reads very differently depending on which three.

Count is only a first clue. A chart with little Earth is not “bad at reality,” and a chart with much Water is not doomed to overwhelm. Look at planetary strength, house emphasis and lived experience before drawing a conclusion.

Before you conclude anything from the tally

Which of those bodies are the Sun, Moon or chart ruler? Those count for more than an outer planet making up the numbers.
Is anything close to an angle? Angular placements speak louder than a tally.
Does the count match how you actually live, or only how a paragraph online described it?
What does the person say about themselves? That evidence outranks arithmetic on a chart.
