Mercury never truly reverses. It runs the innermost, fastest track, and laps the Earth three (occasionally four) times a year — and each time it overtakes us, passing between the Earth and the Sun, it appears to slide backward against the stars for about three weeks. Traditional astrology reads that apparent turn inward exactly as it looks: a season when matters of Mercury — messages, contracts, travel, devices, thinking itself — turn back for a second pass.
The classical counsel is modest, not catastrophic: re-read, re-vise, re-confirm, re-connect. Old conversations and old acquaintances resurface. Plans benefit from a margin. Contracts benefit from a second reading. Nothing about the season forbids living — it simply rewards the double-check and forgives the rough draft.
